An Excerpt from Is God A Capitalist?

A Note to The Reader

I am writing this book to Christians and those who believe in the God who created the universe.

Does the Bible give us clear information about what God thinks? This may seem like a stupid question, until you start to listen to the many different opinions Christians have about politics, governments and financial systems.  As you read this book, you will find that atheists over the last two centuries have been unified in their beliefs. They do not like Capitalists or Free Markets.

But we Christians, who should have greater insight and a clearer understanding about men’s affairs, do not have a consistent, Bible based view of governments. Intersecting with this confusion about governments is the responsibility of American Christians to “self-rule.” Too many leaders in the Body of Christ have given the responsibility to teach about this subject to Fox News and MSNBC.

When it comes to God’s thoughts and commands about how to treat their neighbor in a micro (one on one) situation, most Christians agree. But when it comes to the two ingredients that are essential to be good citizens, Christian leaders leave these concepts to unbeliever's opinions and personal preferences. To succeed in making a nation with Bible based values, Christians must:

    1. Be involved in politics
    2. Have a Bible based value system that guides their politics

Does the Bible clearly tell us God’s thoughts on these matters?

Let us explore what the Bible says.
